Western parliamentarians speak out against Russian troops in Belarus

Representatives of the parliaments of the US, EU, Germany, the Baltic states, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Ukraine, and other countries that adhere to a democratic vision of the future of Belarus, published a statement on the presence of Russian troops in Belarus, addressed to the European Union and the United States. In their opinion, this not only poses a threat to Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania but “may be part of the final plan for the occupation of Belarus”.

This statement was initiated by the caucus “For Democratic Belarus”. The caucus emphasizes that any diplomatic solution to deter possible Russian aggression against Ukraine must not be at the expense of the independent and democratic future of Belarus.
