Peace index of Belarus plummeted over past year

According to the Global Peace Index, Belarus moved from 94th to 117th place in the ranking, losing 8.7%. The significant decrease in Belarus’ rating was influenced by four main factors: deterioration in the level of political stability, an increase in the number of demonstrations accompanied by the use of force, intensification of internal conflict, and deterioration of relations with other countries.
