Lithuania suspects Belarus of organizing illegal transfer of people across border

Lithuanian Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to start an investigation into organization of the illegal transfer of people across the border. Only from 1 June to 16 June, 204 people illegally crossing the Belarus-Lithuania border were detained. Due to the increase in the number of illegal migrants, the Lithuanian authorities set up a refugee camp near the Belarusian border.
