Belarusians expelled from Ukraine due to invalid passports
According to Malanka Media, Belarusian refugees living in Ukraine are increasingly facing problems in obtaining permits for legal stay in the country. According to the State Migration Service, administrative police reports were issued for 85 Belarusian citizens in 2023. This was due to invalid passports.
Three Belarusians were deported.
The State Migration Service of Ukraine notes that the decision to bring individuals to administrative responsibility for such violations is made on an individual basis, taking into account all the circumstances of the case.
Importantly, after the protests of 2020, Ukraine became one of the popular destinations for Belarusians to move to. Despite the outbreak of full-scale war, our citizens continue to reside there, and many have joined volunteer activities or enlisted for military service. Unfortunately, even those Belarusians face the problem of legalization in Ukraine.
