Belarusian authorities have issues with Goethe Institute

Belarusian authorities demand the termination of the Goethe Institute and German Academic Exchange Service activities in the country. “We regret the decision of the Belarusian side that demands the termination of the activities of the Goethe Institute and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Belarus. This step will lead to further international isolation of Belarus,” a spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry said on 30 June.

They also noted that the Goethe Institute and German Academic Exchange Service have been creating cultural and academic bridges between Germany, Europe, and Belarus for decades.
