MP Andrei Savinykh denied Schengen visa

Belarusian MP Andrei Savinykh was to travel to Vienna as the chair of the Belarusian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Savinykh planned to “present the position of Belarus on topical issues on the agenda” during a session of the organization. However, he was denied a visa.

Savinykh thinks that the reason for this decision is connected to the topics that he had planned to discuss in his presentation, including issues of “street democracy”, “an operation to seize power through a color revolution scenario”, and “an unorganized crowd being given the right to speak on behalf of the people”.
